Stephen has been swimming competitively since he was 8 years old, starting with Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL) and later with Rockville Montgomery Swim Club (RMSC). He now coaches the Silver 2 group at Nations Capital Swim Club (NCAP) over at their Georgetown Prep location. He was a national qualifier and team record holder (200 Free) while with RMSC. As a varsity swimmer for four years at Ohio State University, he received All American Honors and was a USA Swimming National Champion (2010), member of OSU’s 2010 Big Ten Championship team (the first since 1956), and was a member of the team’s record setting 400 and 800 freestyle relay. Stephen was also an Olympic Trial qualifier in 2012 (200 Free). Stephen was an assistant coach at Potomac Woods Swim Club and is currently a head coach with NCAP. When not on deck or in the pool, Stephen likes to lift weights, golf, hike and hang out with his dog Maia. He is very excited about coaching his 8th summer at Edgemoor and looks forward to seeing old and new faces! EFL!
Ryan returns to Edgemoor as an assistant coach after swimming for the Dolphins since he was 8 years old. His favorite stroke is backstroke, which he holds the Edgemoor Team and Pool Records for 18U 50-meter backstroke. Ryan swam competitively for Tollefson Swim Club and ASA from age 9 to 18. He was a 4-year varsity swimmer at Bethesda Chevy Chase High School where he holds a top 20 fastest time in the 100-free and 2 top-20 fastest times in the 100-backstroke. Ryan swam for WPI where he is majoring in Data Science. When he is not studying, he has been enjoying squash and other socially distant activities around campus. He is looking forward to returning to Edgemoor to work with the team and help them set new records.
Lauren swam on the Old Georgetown Club swim team since she was 5 years old and holds several team records. She was the co-captain of her highschool swim team Stone Ridge and competed for the Nation's Capital Swim Club for 12 years. She currently swims Division 1 at the College of William and Mary where was named freshman swimmer of the year. She is a rising sophomore who is studying business and loves to go to the beach and spend time with friends and family. She cannot wait to meet the team and have a fun summer at Edgemoor!
Helen returns for her third summer as an Edgemoor Dolphin! She started swimming at age 5 in MCSL for the Tilden Woods Dolphins, and later the Seven Locks sharks. Since age 6, Helen swam year round at RMSC, and then later NCAP. Helen is a rising Sophomore at the University of Dallas majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Ethics and Italian. She will be studying abroad in Rome in the fall. She loves country music, skiing, and time with family and friends.
Caden has been a proud member of The Edgemoor Club family for more than 10 years. Some of his favorite memories include annual beach trips and back-to-back B Division championships. He swam with All Star Aquatics (ASA) and went on to compete at Georgetown Preparatory School, where he captained the swim team and helped lead the program to its 24th consecutive IAC championship.
Caden now studies chemistry at Boston College, where he competes on the Boston College Club Swim Team. This past year, he qualified for and competed at the College Club Swimming National Championship. Outside the pool, he is a certified EMT and an avid rock climber. Now entering his second year on the Edgemoor coaching staff, Caden brings both competitive experience and genuine enthusiasm to the pool deck. We are thrilled to welcome him back for another season.
Chase has been swimming competitively for over 13 years and grew up swimming for the Edgemoor Dolphins, where some of his favorite memories include games of Beaver after practice and the annual beach trips with the team. He began year-round swimming with All Star Aquatics before joining Nation's Capital Swim Club (NCAP) in high school. Chase also served as the Captain of the Georgetown Preparatory School swim team, helping lead the program to its 25th consecutive IAC Championship title. He is currently a sophomore at Auburn University studying Finance and Professional Flight, where he competes on the Auburn University Club Swim Team. Outside of school and swimming, Chase enjoys flying and working at local airports. He is thrilled to return to Edgemoor as a coach this summer and is especially looking forward to the team cheers before meets and team socials!
