Mid-Season Updates + Reminders

July 4th

Dear Swim Team Families:

Happy 4th of July! I hope everyone has fun plans to celebrate and rest a bit on this holiday weekend before we head into a busy second half of the season.

Below is a lot of information about the remainder of the season. Please read carefully.

RELAYS - Tuesday, July 6th

CCSDA t-shirts will be for sale at Relays. They are $20 each. Cash, Venmo or check only.

HOME MEET VS CHEVY CHASE & LAKEWOOD - Thursday, July 8th

Our last home meet is Thursday, July 8th. This will be our first tri-meet against Chevy Chase and Lakewood. The meet will begin at 6:00pm. More information on warm-up times will follow.

  • Team Photos – Please arrive by 3:45 pm in your team t-shirt.  Freed Photography will be at the pool at 4pm for our team picture and will be available for individual and sibling portraits. If you are interested in having individual/sibling portraits taken, please sign-up on SwimTopia in advance.
  • Senior Recognition - We will be honoring our 2020 and 2021 Seniors at the beginning of the meet.
  • Food Trucks - Timber Pizza and Fred’s Ice Cream Truck will be at the meet. Pre-ordering will be available, and a link will be sent out prior the meet. Swimmers will each receive a meal ticket.

EDGEMOOR INVITATIONAL

Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts with the participating teams we are canceling this year’s Invitational.

TEAM BREAKFAST + POSTER MAKING - Sunday, July 18th

All swimmers and their families are invited to Breakfast regardless of whether or not they will be attending Divisionals. Following breakfast, there will be poster making.

When: SUNDAY, July 18th @ 9:30am

Where: Edgemoor

SWIM TEAM BANQUET - Saturday, July 24th

Fun practices will continue to be held Wednesday July, 21st through Friday, July 23rd.

We will celebrate the conclusion of the 2021 Summer Swim season with dinner, a slide show and award ceremony. 

Please upload your photos to the link you received from me to join the Bublup Edgemoor Swim Team 2021 on June 20th. If you did not receive the link and have photos to share, please let me know.

ALL SWIMMERS and their FAMILIES are invited

When: Saturday, July 24th @ 6:30pm

Where: Edgemoor (rain or shine)

Cost: Adults $22; 12 and under $17

Please RSVP on SwimTopia, and let us know if you will be in town as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

VOLUNTEERS

Please remember to volunteer when you declare to the meets/events on SwimTopia. It is the expectation that all families volunteer throughout the season. We will continue to offer shadowing opportunities for stroke + turn and table workers throughout the season.

Next season we will have many older swimmers and long-term volunteers who need to be replaced. If you would like more information, please reach out to me to discuss the opportunities.

SPIRITWEAR

Unfortunately, Sports Fair continues to experience delays with our spirit wear. As soon as we have it, we will let you know and distribute it at the pool.
