Dear Swim Team Families,

The next several days will be busy for the entire swim team as we approach our Division B Championship Meet. Please read carefully regardless of whether your child(ren) will be swimming at Divisionals. We have a lot of fun social events for the entire family in the coming days. PLEASE RSVP for all events on SwimTopia ASAP:

1. BREAKFAST + POSTER MAKING

All swimmers and their families are invited to the breakfast regardless of whether they will be attending Divisionals. Following breakfast, there will be poster making.

When: SUNDAY, July 18th @ 9:30 am

Where: Edgemoor

2. FINAL WEEK PRACTICE SCHEDULE

We will have our final donut practice Monday morning and would love to see as many swimmers as possible at practice Monday and Tuesday tuning up for Divisionals. For the remainder of the week, we have modified the practice schedule to bring the entire team together for some fun (and even some pizza on Thursday) before the season ends.

Monday – No Changes

Tuesday – Morning Practice Only

Wednesday/Thursday/Friday – AFTERNOON PRACTICE ONLY MODIFIED TIMES

• Pre-Team (Wednesday/Friday): 4:00pm - 4:30pm
• All Competitive Swimmers: 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm

3. DIVISION B CHAMPIONSHIP MEET

When: TUESDAY, July 20th @ 6:30 pm

Where: Columbia Country Club, 7900 Connecticut Ave, Chevy Chase, MD 20815

Warm-Ups: 5:00pm

Official Meeting #1 (Head Coach and Team Rep, Referee, Starter, and Clerk of Course Meeting): 5:30 pm

Official Meeting #2 (Referee, Starter, Stroke and Turn and Relay Take-Off Judges Meeting): 5:45 pm

Timer Meeting: 6:00pm

Parade/Senior Recognition: @ 6:00pm

Volunteers

Just like every other meet, we need volunteers. Thank you to all of you who have already signed up. We still need the following:

Parking

Parking will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis and carpooling is strongly encouraged. There will also be valet parking available.

T-shirt & Program Sales

There will be CCSDA T-shirts for sale (sizes Youth Large and Adult Large) at the meet for $20. Cash, check (made out to CCSDA), or Venmo (@pamhjelle) will be accepted.

Meet Programs will be for sale at the meet for $5. Only cash will be accepted as payment for programs.

Dinner and Dance

A buffet dinner for all participants and their families will be available throughout the event. In addition, we are invited to stay after the meet for a fun evening of dancing with a DJ. All food and beverage during and after the meet will be charged via the member's full name. No cash will be accepted.

All swimmers are encouraged to participate in the parade and stay and cheer on their teammates. More details to follow from Stephen on entries/theme/arrival time etc...

4. POST-CHAMPS DINNER

ALL SWIMMERS and their FAMILIES are invited to this OPTIONAL & INFORMAL celebration of the end of the season

When: Wednesday, July 21st @ 6:30 pm

Where: Guapo’s, 8130 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814

Cost: Attendees Cover Own Costs

5. SWIM TEAM BANQUET

ALL SWIMMERS and their FAMILIES are invited to dinner, a slideshow, and an awards ceremony. New families, it is Edgemoor tradition that all swimmers jump in the pool with their clothes on at the end of the night. Please remember your towels.

When: Saturday, July 24th @ 6:30 pm

Where: Edgemoor (rain or shine). Please remember to bring a mask if we need to move inside at any point during the evening. 

Cost: Adults (12 +) - $22

Under 12 - $17
